Ukraine issued a nationwide air alert this morning after the military warned that a group of bombers had taken off from a Russian base.
The Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted and neutralized all Russian missiles targeting Kyiv, according to an announcement by the capital’s military administration on Telegram. The air alert issued this morning in Kyiv lasted more than two hours. No casualties or damage were reported.
Additionally, four people were injured this morning in Zaporizhzhia in a Russian attack that hit civilian infrastructure, according to the city’s municipal council, Anatoly Kurtev. “Multi-family buildings, a school and the premises of a shopping center were damaged,” Kurtev said.
In another attack yesterday night, one person died when a missile hit a residential area in a Russian missile attack on Chuhuiv in the eastern Ukrainian region of Kharkiv, according to Ukrainian media.
