Two suspects arrested in Daesh operation in Sanliurfa

Two of three individuals detained in an anti-terror operation targeting the Daesh terrorist group in Sanliurfa have been arrested, according to local authorities.

According to a statement by the Sanliurfa Governorship, the Provincial Security Directorate conducted a security operation aimed at identifying and neutralizing activities of armed terrorist organizations, resulting in the apprehension of three suspects linked to Daesh.

The Sanliurfa Police Department’s Counterterrorism Branch investigations into the operations and affiliations of terrorist groups is currently ongoing. The suspects were taken into custody during a coordinated effort based on intelligence and ongoing security monitoring.

Judicial proceedings conclude with two arrests

Following their initial detention and processing by law enforcement, all three suspects were referred to the judicial authorities.

The court ruled that two of the suspects be arrested and sent to prison, while the third was released under judicial control.

The official statement noted, “Following the operations, three suspects identified as members of the Daesh terrorist organization were apprehended. Two were arrested and sent to prison, while one was released under judicial supervision.”
