TAI Engine Industry (TEI) will participate in the Farnborough International Airshow, presenting its Indigenous engines and other products.

TEI will be located at stand 4331 in hall 4 from July 22 to 26, 2024.

All about Farnborough International Airshow

The Farnborough International Airshow 2024, scheduled for July 22-26, will feature leading innovators from the aerospace, aviation and defense industries. This trade exhibition, held in Farnborough, Hampshire, has been a premier event for the aerospace and defense sectors since its inception in 1948.

The airshow is renowned for debuting many famous aircraft, including the Vickers VC10, Concorde, Eurofighter, Airbus A380, and Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II. The 1958 show notably featured a world record-setting 22-aircraft formation loop by the RAF’s Black Arrows’ Hawker Hunters.

The international trade show lasts five days. Historically, the first five days have been dedicated to trade visitors, with public attendance over the weekend until 2020.

What is TEI?

TEI, established in 1985 to produce the General Electric F110 engine for the Turkish Air Force’s F-16 aircraft, will showcase its advancements in engine technology at the event.

The company’s mission includes the research, development, design, production, maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification and modernization of aircraft engines and other gas turbine engines, aiming to establish and maintain a modern aircraft engine industry in Türkiye.

As a pioneer in aircraft engine production technology transfer, TEI also serves customers beyond Türkiye. The company’s ownership structure comprises 50.5% TUSAS-Turkish Aerospace Industries, 46.2% General Electric and 3.3% shared between the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation and the Turkish Aeronautical Association.

TEI’s participation in Farnborough underscores its commitment to showcasing Turkish engineering capabilities on an international stage, furthering its mission to advance Türkiye’s aviation and aerospace industry.
