Türkiye’s TCG Hizir Reis completes 1st voyage and dive

The Turkish Ministry of National Defense (MoD) announced that the TCG Hizir Reis submarine successfully conducted its first voyage on September 17, 2024, followed by its first dive on September 18, 2024.
In a statement released via the Ministry’s social media, it was noted, “The second submarine of the Reis Class Submarine Project, developed under the Air-Independent Propulsion System Submarine Project, has completed its initial navigation and dive operations. We extend our wishes for safe voyages and successful missions in the operations that TCG Hizir Reis will undertake.”
The TCG Hizir Reis is the latest addition to Türkiye’s modernized submarine fleet, enhancing its maritime capabilities.
