Türkiye’s ruling AK Party Central Executive Board to meet with packed agenda

The ruling Justice and Development Party’s (AK Party) Central Executive Board (MYK) will convene under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday.
At the MYK meeting, the recent street protests following the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu will be discussed, as well as the boycott calls made by the Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Ozgur Ozel.
President Erdogan will assess the current situation with his party’s key team. The discussion will cover CHP’s stance during this period and the impact of current issues on citizens. The progress toward the goal of a “Terror-Free Türkiye” will also be a hot topic on the agenda.

Erdogan, DEM Party meeting anticipated
Additionally, it is expected that the Kurdish-oriented Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party’s (DEM Party) delegation will be received by President Erdogan in the coming days. The current status of the process will be thoroughly discussed, and the party’s strategy for the upcoming period will be shaped.
Other topics on the agenda
At the meeting, the heads of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Department, the Promotion and Media Department, the Foreign Relations Department, and the Economic Affairs Department will each present updates.
AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Guler will also share the latest developments regarding the activities of the Turkish Parliament. In addition to recent domestic and international developments, party activities and planned initiatives will also be deliberated upon.
