“We are ready to respond to the increasing defense industry needs of Europe’s land systems”
Otokar General Manager Aykut Ozuner, whose views are included in the statement, mentioned that Otokar first introduced its armored vehicles at Eurosatory in the 1990s and today is among the leading land systems manufacturers globally. Ozuner emphasized that the rising defense industry expenditures worldwide, due to developments and threats, have increased users’ interest in military fairs.
Emphasizing that Eurosatory is one of Europe’s largest defense industry fairs where they will have the opportunity to meet existing and potential users from around the world, Ozuner stated, “Our products conforming to NATO standards, our ability to respond to needs and our delivery speed, and our after-sales services set us apart from global competitors. As Otokar, we are ready to respond to the increasing defense industry needs of Europe’s land systems in the fastest and most effective way.”
Ozuner also highlighted the company’s recent collaborations, stating, “Thanks to our competencies that make a difference in product, delivery, and after-sales areas, we have become one of the leading candidate manufacturers, especially for Eastern European countries. Last October, we were tasked with supplying 6×6 armored vehicles to the Estonian Armed Forces. We are ready and willing to meet Romania’s 4×4 armored vehicle needs, and the evaluation process is ongoing.”
Otokar Defense Industry Deputy General Manager Sedef Vehbi mentioned that Otokar’s vehicles, produced as a supplier of land systems for NATO and the United Nations, serve in many different missions worldwide, under various climate and terrain conditions.
Vehbi highlighted that their vehicles have served in over 40 countries across five continents, with more than 33,000 military vehicles, providing high performance and security in the most challenging terrains from combat conditions to peacekeeping operations, supporting critical missions as needed.
‘We are introducing two armored vehicles for the first time at Eurosatory‘
Stressing that their vehicles have proven themselves in countless missions worldwide and have become successful references, Vehbi said, “We made a strong presence at Eurosatory with next-generation vehicles. We are introducing two armored vehicles for the first time at Eurosatory. We believe that ALPAR, developed to meet the robotic and unmanned land vehicle needs of armed forces, and ARMA II, developed considering not only classical combat conditions but also the asymmetrical threats prevalent today, will set a new benchmark in the industry.”
Vehbi also mentioned that besides military vehicle procurement, solutions tailored to user requests are developed, stating, “We closely monitor our users’ needs and current threats, and work to provide optimal solutions for armed forces and security forces. Thanks to our competencies and capabilities, we offer all options such as local production and technology transfer according to our user’s needs.”
