Supersonic flight successfully conducted over Ankara

The Hurjet took off from Murted Airfield at 9:45 AM, breaking the sound barrier for the first time in Turkish aviation history. Accompanied by an F-16 fighter jet, Hurjet’s test flight proceeded smoothly as part of a planned and controlled operation.

The aircraft demonstrated its ability to fly at supersonic speeds, marking a key milestone in the development of Türkiye’s aerospace industry.
