Türkiye’s first national turbofan aircraft engine TF6000 operates successfully
Türkiye has successfully stepped into aircraft engine technology, according to the statement issued by the Presidency of Defense Industries
Türkiye’s first military turbofan engine, designed to have the characteristics of a real military turbofan engine, has successfully begun operation under the auspices of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and under the responsibility of TUSAS Engine Industry Inc. (TEI), according to the statement issued by the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB).

“Our national power makes us proud and gives peace to our hearts. Türkiye’s first National Turbofan Engine TF6000, which we power with the energy of our sons and daughters, was operated for the first time in the national engine test system. At the end of the test process, KIZILELMA and ANKA-3 will receive their power from the TF6000. I sincerely congratulate everyone who contributed to the project, especially our engineers and technical teams. I wish all the best to our country and nation,” Professor Haluk Gorgun, President of Defense Industries said on social media.
According to the statement, with the TF6000 Project, Türkiye has operated a military turbofan aircraft engine for the first time and the country has successfully stepped into aircraft engine technology.
With the TF6000/TF10000 engine projects, Türkiye will also enhance the design, development, and manufacturing phases of the related accessory subsystems, fan module, variable fixed blade compressor, flow mixer exhaust and afterburner.
Such projects will ensure the acquisition of critical technology, domestic sub-industry companies and experienced manpower.
