The Turkish Armed Forces has decommissioned its 1993 model ‘Land Rover 110’ vehicles, repurposing them for recycling. The Machine and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE) converted one of these vehicles into an electric car. The resulting E-Arazi vehicle (electronic all-terrain vehicle) made its debut at the 2025 Winter Drills held in Kars.
Built entirely with local resources, the E-Arazi vehicle is based on a recycled Land Rover Defender chassis from 1993. It features a 107 kW battery capacity, offering a range of 400 kilometers on a full charge. The vehicle can reach a maximum speed of 150 km/h and boasts an impressive 335 horsepower.
Equipped with a 360-degree camera system, the vehicle enhances safety and operational efficiency in the field. MKE’s latest innovation aims to provide an eco-friendly, powerful alternative, particularly suited for tough terrain conditions.
