Türkiye’s defense industry shines at EFES-2024 exercise
Indigenous capabilities of Türkiye’s Defense Industry were exhibited at the EFES-2024 exercise, featuring the Defense Industry Products exhibition Thursday.
“The Defense Industry Products Exhibition, which showcases products in the Turkish Armed Forces’ (TSK) inventory, is critical in demonstrating our country’s achievements in the defense industry to the world,” said President of the Defense Industries Presidency Haluk Gorgun.
According to a statement from the Defense Industries Presidency (SSB), EFES-2024, Türkiye’s largest joint exercise, has begun in Seferihisar, Izmir. With over 1500 foreign personnel from 50 countries participating, along with TSK elements, 11,000 personnel are involved in the exercise.
The Defense Industry Products exhibition, coordinated by SSB, showcased products produced by 47 defense industry companies with indigenous and national capabilities, all of which are part of the TSK inventory.
“The EFES-2024 Exercise features many platforms built with indigenous and national capabilities, as well as domestic and national products developed by our defense industry. These products include radars, electro-optics, ammunition, subsystems, payloads, electronic components, and software integrated into our platforms,” Gorgun said.
“The Defense Industry Products Exhibition, which showcases products from the Turkish Armed Forces’ inventory, is critical in demonstrating our country’s achievements in the defense industry to the world,” he added.
The exercise will provide participating countries with the opportunity to see the capabilities of Turkish defense industry companies that have developed and produced various systems, from UAVs to helicopters, warships to ammunition, electronic warfare systems to radar devices, serving the security forces.
