Türkiye’s defense industry head emphasizes NATO collaboration

Haluk Gorgun, head of the Presidency of Defense Industries, attended the “Strengthening NATO: Turkish-American Defense Industry Cooperation” meeting organized by the Türkiye-U.S. Business Council (TAIK) during the NATO leaders’ summit.
Gorgun highlighted Türkiye’s increasing prominence in the global defense arena, emphasizing that Türkiye has become one of the leading actors in defense. He credited this success to the dedicated efforts of industry companies and qualified human resources in the sector.
In his official statement on X account, Gorgun said: “We participated in the meeting organized by the Türkiye-U.S. Business Council (TAIK) under the theme ‘Strengthening NATO: Turkish-American Defense Industry Cooperation’ during the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit.
As the Turkish Defense Industry, we continue to maintain our presence effectively both in our region and globally, becoming one of the most important countries in defense. Undoubtedly, the diligent efforts of our defense industry companies and our defense industry personnel are behind these successes.
As emphasized frequently by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Türkiye is one of the top five allies contributing the most to NATO’s missions and operations.
In this context, we hope that today’s meeting will yield auspicious results for our country, our region, and the whole world.”
