Turkiye’s Communications Director Altun accuses Israel of waging black propaganda campaign
Israel builds its black propaganda on lies and tries to spread it through state officials, academics, and media, Turkiye’s Fahrettin Altun says
EXCLUSIVE BY KEVSER ERBAY — Fahrettin Altun, Turkiye’s Communications Director, condemned Israel for its alleged use of black propaganda andmisinformation campaigns amid ongoing regional tensions. During his address at the TRT World Citizen Awards ceremony on Friday, Altun expressed that individuals embodying a colonial mentality subject those who differ from them and those categorized as “others” to various forms of oppression.
Israel builds its black propaganda on lies and tries to spread it through state officials, academics, and media, Turkiye’s Communications Director Fahrettin Altun has said.
“We will never give up exposing Israel’s lies and bringing the truths to the world’s agenda,” the director stated.
He emphasized, “The current oppression in Palestine by Israel, a representative of this colonial mindset, serves as a poignant illustration of such practices.”
Altun also praised the journalistic community in the region, particularly highlighting the sacrifices of 119 Palestinian journalists. He attributed the global awareness and shift in perspective regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict partly to these journalists’ relentless pursuit of truth and their moral fortitude, even in the face of dire threats.
“The reason why Israel intentionally targets journalists is precisely because of the truthful and moral stance of these journalists,” Altun remarked, alleging that such targeting is part of a broader strategy to suppress factual reporting and silence dissenting voices.
Altun emphasized Israel’s attempts to spread black propaganda through officials, academics, and media. He assured, “This time, they cannot succeed.”
He concluded with a call to action, emphasizing the necessity of a multi-faceted approach involving politics, diplomacy, humanitarian aid, communication, and media to address the crisis. “Righteousness alone isn’t sufficient; being better is necessary,” Altun stated, reaffirming Turkiye’s commitment to actively engaging in efforts to resolve the ongoing conflict.
