Turkish soldiers left their mark in the Best Sniper Competition, in which military teams from 36 NATO-allied countries participated.

Turkish soldiers secured the first and second places in the Germany-organized competition.

Turkish Special Forces and Land Forces personnel representing their country at the Best Sniper Team Competition in Europe, held in Germany, finished first and second, respectively.

Türkiye is beast among 36 NATO teams

Between Aug. 5-11, 2024, in Hohenfels, Germany, 36 teams from 19 NATO Allied countries competed to become the best European sniper team.

Germany hosted the competition, which featured two teams from Türkiye.

Every year, sniper units participate in a days-long competition that tests them in land navigation, advanced marksmanship, medical simulations, and many other areas.

In Europe’s Best Sniper Team Competition, the Turkish Land Forces team came in first, and the Turkish Special Forces team came in second.
