He added that Syria is also interested in utilizing the full capabilities of Turksat. There is also a proposal to have a Turkish entrepreneur operate one of Syria’s ports. “We are eager to share our knowledge and expertise. As we often say, ‘Come to us, and we’ll provide any kind of training,’ or ‘We’ll come to Syria and provide training there.’”

Restoration of Damascus airport, upcoming projects

“We have made significant progress in restoring Damascus Airport, but there is still work to be done. We are focused on completing these tasks. Additionally, the Ministry will send experts to Syria, offer technical and logistical support in the transportation sector, and prepare training programs in both Turkiye and Syria.”

Consultants will be sent to provide advice to Syrian authorities. The Cobanbey-Aleppo and Meydan-i Ekbez-Aleppo railways will be repaired, and the aviation sector will receive support to address its deficiencies.

Aircraft support will be provided, including assistance with the repair of unfit planes or the provision of rental aircraft.
