Türkiye’s Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz has announced their aim to bring inflation below 20% by 2025 and into single digits by 2026. Yilmaz noted in a statement on social media that according to a Central Bank survey, inflation expectations continue to decline and approach their targets. Emphasizing the continuation of implementing the Medium-Term Program in a politically stable and secure environment, Yilmaz stated:

“We aim to achieve inflation below 20% in 2025 and single-digit rates in 2026. We will achieve results through monetary policy, fiscal policy, and structural reforms that enhance productivity. The disinflation period starting in the second half of 2024 will also serve our goal of growth and increasing social welfare in a stable manner.”
