Türkiye stands out as beacon of stability, peace in the region, says Erdogan
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the members of the Supreme Military Council (YAS) visited Anitkabir, the mausoleum of Türkiye’s founding leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in Ankara.
Before their meeting at the Presidential Complex, President Erdogan and the YAS members arrived at Anitkabir.
President Erdogan wrote the following in the memorial book at Anitakabir: “Dear Ataturk; As members of the Supreme Military Council, today we once again remember your esteemed self and our heroic martyrs with mercy. We wish that our 2024 council meeting will be beneficial for our country, our nation, and the Turkish Armed Forces. In a critical period where uncertainties are increasing worldwide, and our region is experiencing hot conflicts and political assassinations, Türkiye stands out as a beacon of stability and peace in its region.
In the face of reviving expansionist ambitions, we are determined to take all necessary measures to protect our homeland, our nation, our state, and our national interests to the fullest extent. We will not give any opportunity to those who wish to turn our region into a sea of blood and will continue to be a source of security for our own citizens as well as our friends. May your soul rest in peace.”
