Türkiye sends condolences to US after 33 die in deadly tornado disaster

Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry extended condolences to the American people following deadly tornadoes and severe storms that struck multiple states across the southern and central United States.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of life caused by the tornadoes and severe storms that were effective in some states of the USA,” the ministry said in a written statement on Sunday. “We convey our condolences to the people of the USA and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
The devastating weather system has paralyzed life in parts of the central and southern United States, with at least 33 deaths reported in Texas and Missouri.
The powerful storms brought destructive winds and tornadoes to multiple communities, causing widespread damage to homes and infrastructure across the affected regions.
Türkiye’s message of solidarity comes as emergency responders continue search and rescue operations in the hardest-hit areas, where local officials are still assessing the full extent of the damage.
