Türkiye sends aid to flood-hit Bangladesh
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the recent flood disaster in Bangladesh, highlighting Türkiye’s swift response to the crisis.
“In response to this devastating disaster affecting over 5 million people, we are delivering aid to the region. We have begun distributing 16,750 aid packages, with a focus on areas where road access has been cut off,” Erdogan stated.
Erdogan stated that the aid is being provided under the leadership of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
We are extending Türkiye’s helping hand to our friendly and brotherly nation of Bangladesh, which is going through difficult times due to the flood disaster. We are distributing 16,750 aid packages to respond to this great disaster affecting more than 5 million people. Through our ongoing relief efforts, we are striving to stand by our Bangladeshi brothers and sisters, who are facing immense devastation, and to help heal their wounds.
