Türkiye records hottest July in 53 years
Türkiye’s environment, urbanization, and climate change minister, Murat Kurum, announced that the country experienced its hottest July in over half a century.

- Highest temperature: 45.9°C (114.62°F) recorded in Cizre, Sirnak province.
- Lowest temperature: 5.2°C (41.36°F) recorded in Erzurum province.
Minister Kurum, via a post on X, warned that temperatures are expected to rise again starting next Monday, urging citizens to exercise caution during the upcoming heatwave.
