The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF/TSK in Turkish) are preparing measures to address a potential migration wave from Lebanon into northern Syria, as Israel’s ongoing strikes in Lebanon may lead to displacement.

The Ministry of National Defense (MoD/MSB in Turkish) announced that the priority in northern Syria is to prevent any large-scale migration while continuing counterterrorism efforts.

According to defense officials, while there has been no significant migration from Lebanon into Syria yet, the Turkish military is prepared to contain any future wave within Turkish-controlled areas in northern Syria.

Officials stressed that ensuring border security and managing migration are key objectives.
