Türkiye limits phone subscriptions to three per person

Türkiye’s Ministry of Justice, in order to combat crime, is introducing new regulations including reducing each citizens’ maximum access to three mobile subscriptions.
Under the updated rules, citizens will be allowed a maximum of three mobile lines, while foreign nationals will be permitted only one.
New consequences with failing to comply
If a mobile subscription is found to be connected to criminal activity, it can be disconnected. Additionally, mobile operators are required to provide requested information within ten days during investigations or trials.
Failure to comply with this deadline could result in administrative fines imposed by the public prosecutor.
These changes are part of broader reforms outlined in the Judicial Reform Strategy Document, which aims to reduce fraud and strengthen security within banking and telecommunications.
