Turkish authorities issue arrest warrants for 28 suspects in two separate investigations related to FETO, including alleged communication with the organization’s ‘civil imams’ and distribution of exam questions

In two separate investigations launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETO), arrest warrants have been issued for 28 suspects.

According to the statement from the prosecutor’s office, the Terrorism Crimes Investigation Bureau initiated an investigation into the organization’s clandestine structure within the Turkish Land Forces Command, known as the “covert services.”

In the investigation, arrest warrants were issued for 17 suspects, including 15 military personnel. It was stated that operations to apprehend the suspects are ongoing by the Anti-Terrorism Branch Directorate teams of Provincial Police Departments.

In another investigation against FETO, arrest warrants were issued for two suspects who obtained and distributed the 2009 and 2010 Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) questions before the exams, as well as nine individuals who were found to have been appointed to public institutions based on the scores they obtained by taking these exams.

It was reported that operations are being carried out by the Financial Crimes Investigation Branch Directorate teams in five provinces centered in Ankara.
