Türkiye and Indonesia signed 13 agreements on a range of sectors, marking a significant step in their bilateral relations.
The agreements were signed in the presence of Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto following high-level discussions.
Agreements covering key sectors
The agreements span various fields, including health, energy, trade, and defense. Notable agreements include:
- Health and Medical Sciences Cooperation Agreement: Signed by Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Indonesia’s Foreign Minister Sugiono.
- Memorandum of Understanding on Energy and Natural Resources: Signed by Türkiye’s Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar and Indonesia’s Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia.
- Letter of Intent on Investment Promotion and Facilitation: Signed by Türkiye’s Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacir and Indonesia’s Minister of Investment and Raw Material Processing Rosan Perkasa Roeslani.
- Memorandum of Understanding on Agricultural Cooperation: Signed by Türkiye’s Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli and Indonesia’s Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman.
- Memorandum of Understanding on Industrial Cooperation: Signed by Türkiye’s Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacir and Indonesia’s Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.
- Memorandum of Understanding on Trade Cooperation: Signed by Türkiye’s Trade Minister Omer Bolat and Indonesia’s Trade Minister Budi Santoso.
- Memorandum of Understanding on Higher Education Cooperation: Signed by Türkiye’s Higher Education Council President Prof. Dr. Erol Ozvar and Indonesia’s Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro.
- Memorandum of Understanding on Religious Affairs and Religious Education Cooperation: Signed by Türkiye’s Directorate of Religious Affairs President Ali Erbas and Indonesia’s Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar.

- Defense Industry Cooperation Agreement: Signed by the head of Türkiye’s Presidency of Defense Industry Haluk Gorgun and Indonesia’s Minister of Defense Sjafrie Shamsuddin.
- Joint Production Agreement for Bayraktar TB3 and Bayraktar Akinci Exports: Signed between BAYKAR CEO Haluk Bayraktar and Republikorp Founder Norman Joesoef.
