Türkiye eliminates 16 PKK/YPG terrorists in northern Iraq

Turkish forces eliminated 16 PKK/YPG terrorists in northern Iraq, The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced Friday.

The operation targeted militants in the Hakurk, Asos, Gara, and Metina regions, furthering Türkiye’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region.

The Defense Ministry emphasized the Turkish Armed Forces’ (TSK) commitment to eradicating terrorism at its source. In a statement published on X, the ministry said, “Brave, Determined and Powerful!”

“Our heroic Turkish Armed Forces neutralized 16 PKK terrorists they detected in the Hakurk, Asos, Gara and Metina regions of northern Iraq.” the Turkish Ministry of Defense said.

Lastly, the ministry added, “We will continue unpredictable, unconventional, rapid and continuous operations to destroy terrorism at its source!”
