President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that Türkiye is doing much more for Palestine, Gaza, and Lebanon—currently under relentless Israeli assault—than is visible or being discussed publicly.

Reaffirming Türkiye’s unwavering support for Palestine, Erdogan emphasized that the country will continue to stand by “our brothers with all our strength and all our resources” until the genocide stops and Gaza and Palestine are fully liberated.

‘Bloody and dangerous war right next to Türkiye’

“Even if some insist on ignoring it, an extremely bloody and dangerous war has been going on right next to Türkiye for 14 months,” Erdogan said after a Cabinet meeting in Ankara, referring to Israel’s ongoing offensive on Gaza, which has killed over 44,000 people since October 2023.

Erdogan expressed confidence that the Palestinian cause will ultimately prevail, saying, “At the end of these difficult days, Palestinians will attain salvation, peace, and tranquility, while the oppressors will lose.”

Erdogan warns Netanyahu

Erdogan also issued a stark warning to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that “the circle is tightening around him and his ‘massacre network.’” This follows the issuance of arrest warrants by the International Criminal Court last week for Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
