Haluk Gorgun, head of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB)  reported on the bilateral meetings held in Niamey, Niger, highlighting the strategic discussions across defense, security, energy and foreign policy.

A high-level delegation from Türkiye, including Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, National Intelligence Organization head Ibrahim Kalin, and Deputy Minister of Trade Ozgur Volkan Agar, participated in a joint working meeting chaired by Niger’s Prime Minister Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine.

This visit underscores the significant importance and contributions of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Africa and regional countries, which are globally recognized and closely watched.

“During our visit, we are holding various meetings with Niger, our friendly and allied country, to foster more significant collaborations and initiatives in the defense industry,” Gorgun said.

Gorgun expressed optimism about the outcomes. Officials believe these discussions will further strengthen the bond between Türkiye and Niger and lead to fruitful collaborations. Gorgun thanked President Abdourahmane Tchiani, Prime Minister Zeine, and the Nigerien delegation for their warm hospitality.
