Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Defense Minister Yasar Guler, and National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Chief Ibrahim Kalin are participating in a five-nation security summit in Amman on Sunday alongside their counterparts from Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria.

Regional security talks in Amman

According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry sources, the high-level meeting, which brings together officials from five nations, is expected to focus on regional security cooperation.

Following the discussions, foreign ministers from the participating countries will reportedly hold a joint press conference, tentatively scheduled for 6:00 p.m. local time (3:00 p.m. GMT).

Bilateral meetings, royal reception

In addition to the summit, the Turkish delegation will also meet with Jordanian officials and will be received by King Abdullah II of Jordan.

Turkish officials are expected to discuss regional issues and bilateral cooperation during their engagements.
