Turkish UAV Aksungur reportedly shot down in Iraq’s Kirkuk
Turkish UAV Aksungur fell between houses in the neighborhood in Northern Iraq after it was reportedly shot down by the Iraqi army on Thursday.
It is reported that the Turkish UAV was carrying out counterterrorism operations in the Chimen region – where the PKK has a stronghold.
Iraqi official authorities confirmed that the downed drone was Turkish.
Turkish UAV was shot down by the Iraqi army because it had reportedly entered a prohibited area.
