The Ministry of National Defense has reported that the Winter 2024 Exercise, held as part of the Turkish Land Forces Command’s annual planned training, is proceeding successfully.
A ministry statement noted that preparations for the exercise, conducted under the command of the 3rd Army in all eastern provinces, began two months in advance.
The Winter 2024 Exercise, part of the annual planned training of the Turkish Land Forces Command, began on March 5 and is set to conclude on April 5, the statement indicated.
It was mentioned that the “actual firing field exercise” component took place at the Sehit Istihkam Senior Sergeant Ilham Hamli Firing and Exercise Area in Kars. In contrast, the “actual border security exercises” on the eastern borders were carried out in Agri and Tatvan. The “actual non-firing field exercise” component was also executed in these locations.
“Within the scope of the exercise, targets are being successfully destroyed by the heroic Turkish artillery,” the statement highlighted.
