Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) successfully eliminated Sadiye Muhammed Ahmed, also known as “Hevi,” a senior PKK/YPG operative, during a precision operation in Sinjar, Iraq.
Security sources confirmed Ahmed was responsible for the group’s intelligence operations in the region.
Ahmed joined the PKK/YPG terrorist organization in 2001 and was actively involved in the group’s activities across Syria and Iraq, including Qandil, Makhmur, Kirkuk and Sinjar.
She was responsible for coordinating PKK/YPG terrorist organization activities between Makhmur and Sinjar and had previously overseen external relations for the Makhmur camp using a false identity.
At the time of the operation, Ahmed was overseeing intelligence operations in Sinjar, coordinating activities with the PKK/YPG terrorist organization’s so-called leadership in Qandil, and mobilizing local Yazidi populations.
Details of intelligence operation
MIT identified Ahmed’s location through real-time intelligence gathering and placed her under constant surveillance.
The operation was carried out when conditions were deemed optimal. Ahmed was living among Yazidi civilians to conceal her identity and activities.
