Turkish intelligence eliminates PKK/YPG’s top leader in Syria operation
The Turkish intelligence agency (MIT) has eliminated Abdulhamit Kapar, a top leader of the PKK/YPG, in an operation in Qamishli, Syria.
Kapar, one of the so-called logistics and finance officers of the organization, was eliminated in an operation conducted by Turkish intelligence in Qamishli.
Kapar, who joined the terrorist organization PKK/YPG in 1992, moved to Syria in 2018 after his activities in Iraq.
Kapar, who is in the ‘green’ category on the ‘Terrorism Wanted’ list of the Ministry of Interior, was reported to have organized the 1992 attack against Tasdelen Gendarmerie Station in the Uludere district of Sirnak.
The PKK/YPG, with support from the U.S., is attempting to establish a terror state in northern Syria.
This organization poses a significant threat to national security in Syria, Iraq, Iran and Türkiye.
Since its first attack in 1981, the PKK/YPG has claimed the lives of thousands of Turkish citizens.
