Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) successfully neutralized Serkan Nazlier, a senior terrorist organization PKK/YPG figure, in a targeted operation.
Nazlier, who was on Türkiye’s red list of most-wanted individuals, was reportedly one of the group’s top commanders.
The operation was part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism within Türkiye and across its borders. Turkish intelligence sources confirmed that Nazlier had been a key operative within the PKK/YPG, a designated terrorist organization by both Türkiye and its international allies.
High-profile target eliminated in Turkish operation
Serkan Nazlier, long sought by Turkish authorities, had been on the red list for his role in organizing PKK/YPG activities. His neutralization is considered a significant blow to the group, which has been the subject of numerous security operations in recent years.
