Turkish intelligence conducts operations on 157 PKK/YPG targets in Syria, Iraq The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) destroyed PKK/YPG targets in northern Syria and Iraq. Following the terrorist attack on the compound of the Turkish Aerospace Industries Corporation (TAI) in Kahramankazan district, MİT conducted operations against the PKK terrorist organization in northern Syria and Iraq.

The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) launched operations on 157 PKK/YPG targets in northern Syria and Iraq, following a terror attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) facilities.

The operations, conducted between Oct.23-26, focused on destroying buildings, weapons and ammunition depots belonging to the terrorist organization.

MIT operations follow terror attack on TAI facility

Security sources confirmed that MIT launched the operations in response to the Oct. 23 terror attack on TAI’s facilities in Kahramankazan, Ankara. The operations targeted PKK/YPG positions in northern Syria and Iraq, continuing efforts to dismantle the group’s infrastructure.

157 targets eliminated in cross-border operations

Over four days, MIT neutralized 157 PKK/YPG targets, including buildings and ammunition depots, severely affecting the group’s ability to operate in the region. These operations are part of Türkiye’s ongoing counter-terrorism efforts in the region.

Anka drones play key role in operations

Locally produced defense technology, including ANKA drones manufactured by TAI, played a pivotal role in the operations.

MIT deployed these unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to locate and destroy terrorist targets, demonstrating Türkiye’s commitment to utilizing homegrown defense capabilities in national security operations.
