Turkish intelligence chief meets Hamas leader in Doha to discuss negotiations

National Intelligence Agency head Ibrahim Kalin holds talks with Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Doha, discussing Türkiye’s role in Israel negotiations and humanitarian aid facilitation

Ibrahim Kalin, the head of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), together with his delegation, held an important meeting with Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh in Doha.

The talks focused on Tükiye’s constructive role in the negotiation process with Israel and both sides expressed their appreciation for Türkiye’s efforts. Key issues included the current status of the negotiations, the ongoing efforts to achieve a ceasefire and the recognition that the responsibility for making progress in this regard lies with Israel.

They also underlined the humanitarian dimension of the talks and jointly emphasized the importance of facilitating the delivery of more humanitarian aid.
