Turkish Grand National Assembly President hosts Iftar gathering with ambassadors
President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmus emphasizes the importance of global unity in dealing with current chaos and problems in international affairs
During an iftar event with diplomats on Tuesday, Numan Kurtulmus, President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), stressed the need for global unity to deal with the current chaos and problems in international affairs.
In his speech to at the TBMM Ceremony Hall, Kurtulmus stressed how important it is to work together to solve big problems. His words, “We will overcome the crises and chaos we face in the international arena as a unified international community,” showed how important it is to be united in times of global uncertainty.
When talking about the current war between Russia and Ukraine, Kurtulmus noted that it was getting harder to find a solution, even though he was in close contact with the leaders of both countries. He said that the deadlock was caused by the acts of some countries and stressed how important it is for countries to work together and talk things out peacefully.
Kurtulmus said again that Türkiye will never stand for the horrible crimes happening in Gaza and emphasized the need to stop the humanitarian crisis and make it easier for people to get immediate aid. He asked the rest of the world to join him in calling for peace and an end to the violence against the Palestinian people.
The President stressed that Türkiye is actively involved in diplomacy and that the country is dedicated to finding calm and fair answers to problems around the world. His words, “Diplomacy has been and remains a cornerstone of our foreign policy,” made it clear that Türkiye is always looking for ways to talk things out and be diplomatic.
When it comes to economic cooperation, Kurtulmus stressed the importance of partnerships that are good for both sides for cooperation to last. He stressed that Türkiye is working to improve two-way relationships based on the concept of fairness, especially in Asia and Africa.
In his speech, Kurtulmus spoke out against Islamophobia and stressed that the whole world needs to work together to fight injustice and promote acceptance. He said that everyone needs to work together to solve world problems, pointing out that countries need to depend on each other to find answers.
As Kurtulmus thought about the current state of global institutions, he called for a fresh look at present systems to make sure they are fair and equal. His words, “We need a new, just, and equitable global system,” pushed everyone to work together for a better and more inclusive world order.
Lastly, the President said that he hoped there would be a renewed commitment to justice and working together to solve world problems. He said, “Together, we can build a better world for all,” and he asked everyone in the world to work together for a better future.
