Turkish forces eliminate 9 PKK/YPG terrorists in northern Iraq air ops
The Turkish Defense Ministry announced that nine PKK/YPG terrorists were eliminated in an air operation in the Hakurk region of northern Iraq.
In its statement, the ministry emphasized the continued efforts of the Turkish Armed Forces to target terrorist activities, saying, “Our heroic Turkish Armed Forces continue to effectively strike terror targets with their ‘iron claws.’
9 PKK/YPG terrorists identified in the Hakurk region of northern Iraq were eliminated in an air operation,” the statement read.
PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the U.S. and the EU, is responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people in its nearly 40-year campaign of terror against Türkiye. The YPG is the PKK’s extension in Syria.
