Turkish air forces eliminate 19 PKK terrorists in northern Iraq and Syria, underscoring ongoing commitment to counterterrorism
The Turkish Armed Forces eliminated 15 PKK terrorists identified in northern Iraq and four PKK/YPG terrorists in northern Syria, according to the Ministry of National Defense.
“We continue to fight with all our might for our martyrs, for our nation. Terrorists cannot escape the inevitable fate awaiting them!” the statement read.
The PKK has waged a terror campaign against Türkiye for over 35 years, resulting in the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.
The organization is recognized as a terrorist group by Türkiye, the U.S. and the European Union.
Türkiye has consistently raised concerns regarding the tolerance extended to the PKK and its supporters across Europe.
