Turkish defense industry products displayed at exhibition in N. Cyprus
Türkiye’s Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) inaugurated a Defense Industry Exhibition in Nicosia, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The event marks a significant milestone, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation.
The exhibition features products from prominent Turkish defense companies including Havelsan, Roketsan, Aselsan, TUSAŞ Engine Industries (TEI), Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE), Baykar, Best, Elektroland, CANiK, Karel, Nurol, Sarsilmaz and Titra. These companies are showcasing their contributions to Türkiye’s defense sector.
On display are a variety of defense products that cater to Türkiye’s air, land, and sea security needs. These include indigenous and national unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), weapon detection radars, rocket technologies, air defense systems, and many other defense industry products.
Among the notable exhibits are models of the Bayraktar TB2 armed UAV, the Bayraktar Akinci combat UAV, Türkiye’s first indigenous helicopter Gokbey, Türkiye’s first jet-powered supersonic training aircraft Hurjet, the heavy class attack helicopter ATAK-2, and the ANKA III UAV. The exhibition also features Türkiye’s first national turbodiesel aviation engine, the TEI-PD170.
The Defense Industry Exhibition will run until Sunday, July 21.
