Aselsan, Türkiye’s leading defense electronics company, has announced the signing of contracts worth approximately $10.3 million for the export of electro-optical payloads for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to clients in Asia-Pacific and African countries.

The sales agreements were disclosed through the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) in an official statement by Aselsan on Thursday.

Aselsan expands UAV technology exports

The export contracts involve providing electro-optical payloads, sophisticated equipment used for navigation, targeting and intelligence gathering on UAVs, for end-users across select Asia-Pacific and African nations.

Electro-optical payloads integral to UAV operations

Aselsan’s electro-optical payloads, which are central to UAV functions, include systems that enhance surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting capabilities. These payloads are sought after for their ability to deliver high-performance imaging and precision in military and security operations.
