A suspect has been detained for alleged human trafficking, said Turkish Coast Guard Command.
A boat carrying irregular migrants had its engine fail and was drifting, prompting a call for help. Coast Guard Command boats were dispatched in response. Teams rescued 72 immigrants, including 22 children, from the boat.
One suspect on the boat was detained on allegations of human trafficking. The migrants were sent to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
