Weather forecast for Istanbul on Sunday

Light snowfall continues intermittently in some districts of Istanbul, having started on Friday night. In certain areas, sudden blizzards have hit, but by Saturday noon, the snowfall is expected to subside, giving way to sunny weather.

Meanwhile, heavy overnight snowfall has accumulated in side streets, causing difficulties for drivers and increasing the risk of ice formation.

Strong winds are affecting coastal areas and higher-altitude settlements, while Turkish authorities have advised citizens to stay indoors unless necessary.

According to the Meteorological Service, heavy snowfall is expected to continue on Sunday, with temperatures ranging from a low of minus 3 degrees Celsius (27 degrees Fahrenheit) to a high of 3°C.

Although the snowfall will subside by Monday, temperatures are expected to remain at the same level for a while.
