Istanbul is grappling with severe lodos winds following warnings from the Meteorology Department, leading to significant disruptions in air travel.

After Sabiha Gokcen (SAW) Airport announced flight cancellations earlier, Turkish Airlines (THY) confirmed it had also canceled several flights to and from Istanbul Airport (IGA.)

Yahya Ustun, the airline’s press advisor, shared an update on social media, stating, “Dear passengers, due to the 10% capacity reduction decision taken by the Meteorological Emergency Committee (MADKOM) in response to the severe storm expected in İstanbul, 38 flights scheduled for November 23 (10 domestic, 28 international) have been canceled.”

Passengers are advised to check their flight status before heading to the airport and stay updated through official airline channels as adverse weather conditions persist.
