Turkish Air Force joins Red Flag-2025/2 exercise with 5 F-16s, 71 personnel

The Ministry of National Defense (MoD) announced that the Turkish Air Force participated in the Red Flag-2025/2 exercise held in Nevada, USA, with five F-16C/D fighter jets and 71 personnel.
The ministry shared the news on its social media, stating, “Our Air Force Command successfully carried out its mission with five F-16C/D aircraft from the 132nd Squadron of the 3rd Main Jet Base Command and 71 personnel at the Red Flag-2025/2 Exercise, conducted at Nellis Air Force Base.”

Photos from the exercise were also included in the post, showing the aircraft deployed. These planes appear to be Block 40M F-16s, with three single-seat C models and one two-seat D model.
The aircraft are equipped with the AN/ALQ-178V3 Electronic Warfare (EW) Self-Protection System, with the F-16D Block 40s carrying the passive version AN/ALQ-178(V)3 EW Self-Protection System (RWR+CMDS).

Additionally, an AN/ALQ-211(V)9 EW Pod may have been used on the two deployed planes. International exercises such as this provide invaluable experience to Turkish pilots and the Air Force, strengthening their operational capabilities.
