TAI delivers T70 utility helicopter to Turkish Air Force
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has officially delivered a T70 utility helicopter to the Turkish Air Force, according to TAI General Manager Mehmet Demiroglu.

Demiroglu shared the news via social media, stating, “We have successfully delivered our T70 Utility Helicopter to the Turkish Air Force Command during a ceremony. With this latest delivery, including the T129 ATAK Helicopters, we have now reached a total of 100 helicopter deliveries to date. We will continue to contribute to our country’s defense industry by working day and night.”
“Our armed forces are working hard in many parts of Turkey and the world. They do this as their patriotic duty, and we are doing, will do and will continue to do this as our patriotic duty,” Demiroglu said.
T70 utility helicopter program
The T70 utility helicopter program is being developed under the coordination of the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industries, with TAI as the main contractor and Aselsan, TUSAS Engine Industries (TEI), Alp Aviation and Sikorsky as subcontractors.
The T70 is based on the Sikorsky Aircraft’s S70i helicopter and is being produced under license in Türkiye.
It will be delivered to six different users, including the Turkish Land Forces, Turkish Air Force, Special Forces Command, Gendarmerie General Command, General Directorate of Security, and General Directorate of Forestry.
A total of 109 T70 helicopters are planned to be produced.
