Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), a leading aerospace engine manufacturer, has become the first company in Türkiye to achieve international National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap) certification in additive manufacturing technologies.

Nadcap is a worldwide cooperative program of major companies designed to manage a cost-effective consensus approach to special processes and products and provide continual improvement within the aerospace and defense industries. Nadcap accreditation is a prestigious recognition that certifies processes such as heat treating, chemical processing, and materials testing, ensuring they meet rigorous international standards and customer requirements.

TAI distinguishes itself among over 4,000 companies operating in the aerospace, space, and defense industries worldwide by possessing 46 special process capabilities across 11 different process groups accredited by Nadcap. This reinforces the company’s leadership in the industry.

Special processes that alter the physical, chemical, electrical, and metallurgical properties of materials are essential for enhancing the durability of aerospace engine components under extreme conditions. Nadcap accreditation certifies that these processes comply with customer requirements and international standards, ensuring high quality and safety.

In June, TAI received its Nadcap certification in additive manufacturing, becoming the first Turkish company to achieve this recognition. This certification emphasizes TAI’s commitment to maintaining its world-leading position, a distinction it has held since 2017.
