Survey reveals Turkish Armed Forces as most trusted institution in Türkiye
A public opinion survey conducted in Türkiye has revealed the nation’s most trusted institutions. The study, carried out by Asal Research in August 2024, gathered responses from 2,000 participants, providing insights into public trust levels:
- Turkish Armed Forces: The most trusted institution, with 19.7% of public trust.
- Police forces: Earned 16.5% trust, ranking second.
- Turkish Presidency: Secured 11.1%, placing third.
- Turkish parliament: Recorded 10.2% trust.
Meanwhile, trust in the Turkish parliament was measured at 10.2%, while banks gained 4.2%, Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM) 4.0%, and municipalities 2.9%.
Trust in the Directorate of Religious Affairs was measured at 2%, while trust in the judiciary remained at 1.4% and in politicians at 1%.
On the other hand, the media was found to be trustworthy by only 0.9%.
Additional insights from the survey:
- 18.2% of respondents indicated they do not trust any institution.
- 4.4% expressed trust in all the listed institutions.
