‘Stop Israeli terror’: Bursa protests against Tel Aviv’s attacks on Gaza
Protesters in Bursa condemn the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza, demanding an end to the violence and expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza
A protest was held in Bursa’s Inegol district to denounce and demonstrate support for Gaza amid Israel’s ongoing attacks.
The protest organized by the Inegol Civil Society Platform began on July 15 at National Will Square witnessing the participation of several citizens who were seen chanting slogans such as “Murderer Israel, get out of Palestine” and “Down with Israel.”
Alongside Turkish flags, Palestine and East Turkestan flags were also raised during the march.
Erman Bostanci, speaking on behalf of the Inegol Civil Society Platform, lamented that Israel has been continuing its oppression by bombing schools and hospitals for 196 days, killing women and children.
‘Palestine issue for whole ummah’
“For years, Israel has been committing all kinds of oppression and treachery on Palestinian land in front of the eyes of the world. Thousands of our Palestinian brothers and sisters, including women and children, were killed,” he said.
“Muslim blood was shed in all our holy places, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque. Hundreds of young people were imprisoned and thrown into dungeons without any reason,” he added.
Bostanci emphasized that with the Aqsa Storm operation, Palestinians exercised their legitimate right to self-defense on the lands of their cities.
He underscored Palestine is an issue for the whole ummah (Muslim community).
Passive attitude of the West empowers Israel
“It is time for Israel’s arrogance and terrorism to end. Israel derives this arrogance from the silence of Islamic countries and Muslims. The West, which always talks about human rights, has never opposed Israeli terrorism being committed in front of the whole world. Now, they are calling for ‘you are violating human rights, stop attacking Israel’ with all their hypocrisy against Palestine,” Bostanci concluded.
