SEA WOLF-II/2024 Exercise to be launched in the Black Sea, Marmara, Aegean, Eastern Mediterranean
The Naval Forces Command is set to commence the SEA WOLF-II/2024 Exercise across the Black Sea, Marmara, Aegean, and Eastern Mediterranean, aiming to evaluate operational effectiveness and enhance preparedness levels
The Naval Forces Command will initiate the SEA WOLF-II/2024 Exercise in the Black Sea, Marmara, Aegean, and Eastern Mediterranean tomorrow.
Navy Operations Chief Rear Admiral Kaan Turkkan said that the exercise is a practical exercise aimed at evaluating the operational effectiveness of naval command units, enhancing the preparedness levels of participating elements, and developing the judgment, foresight, and decision-making abilities of command personnel and participants in a multi-threat environment.
A total of 100 surface ships, 8 submarines, 39 aircraft, 16 helicopters, 28 unmanned aerial vehicles, 7 unmanned marine vehicles, 2 SAT teams (8 personnel), and 3 SAS teams (5 personnel) will participate in the exercise. A total of 15,000 personnel will be involved in the exercise.
Exercise control center with 104 personnel established
Turkkan mentioned that an Exercise Control Center consisting of 104 personnel was established at the Naval War College Command.
The mission of the exercise control center is to direct, control, and evaluate the exercise, ensuring that the exercise operation plan is played according to the scenario and intermediate situations to achieve the training objectives, according to Turkkan.
During the exercise, an active press policy will be implemented, and Turkkan explained that the press activities of the exercise will be carried out in two different ways: Real press activities by the Naval Forces General Secretariat and exercise media simulation activities by the Exercise Control Center through the simulation of television, digital press, and social media over the Turkish Air Force local network.
