Saros research poll shows main opposition party CHP leading ruling AK Party
Turkish polling company Saros Research released its September 2024 Türkiye Agenda and Politics survey results, showing that the main opposition party, the Republican People’s Party (CHP), could potentially win the next elections.
In the survey, which asked about the possibility of early elections and voter preferences if elections were held this Sunday, CHP led with 34.1% support, ahead of the ruling AK Party, which polled at 30.3%.
DEM Party ranked third with 9.4%, while the AK Party’s coalition partner, the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), secured 8.7%. The New Welfare Party followed with 4.9%.
A total of 47.4% of respondents believed early elections are necessary, while 43.8% opposed the idea. The undecided group stood at 8.8%.
