Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is set to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum and hold discussions with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on a range of bilateral and international issues

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is set to visit Türkiye on March 1-2, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Lavrov will participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum and hold discussions with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during the visit.

The agenda includes talks on a wide array of topics, focusing primarily on bilateral cooperation, such as energy, security, banking, and tourism. Additionally, discussions will cover regional and international matters, including the situations in Ukraine and Transcaucasia, the conflict between Palestine and Israel, and the Syrian and Libyan settlement processes.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that the two ministers are expected to plan a series of bilateral meetings during their talks.

Over 100 nations will be represented at the third Antalya Diplomacy Forum in March, with participation from more than 20 heads of state and government. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will also attend the forum.

Taking place from March 1 to 3 under the initiative of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the forum will feature around 90 ministers, including over 60 foreign ministers, and approximately 80 representatives from international organizations.
